Nathan & Lauren
August 27, 2016, Gratiot County, Michigan
Nathan and Lauren had a beautiful backyard wedding with exquisite classic vintage detailing. The bride and bridesmaids began their day at Water Works Salon & Spa in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan while the groom and groomsmen hung out at the family farm. The wedding and reception were both held at Lauren's parents' Gratiot County residence. Lauren coordinated her stunning vintage details with Fancy Fray and the elegant flower arrangements were created by the very talented Flowers by Patty Macha.
The day started out wet and rainy but the skies parted just in time for Nathan and Lauren to have their dream backyard wedding and the rest of the day was incredible. They had a lovely, heartfelt ceremony followed by a reception where the front yard venue was adorned with classic vintage details. The centerpiece of the evening was the bar that Lauren's dad made and the tailgate of her Grandpa's vintage pickup truck was used to serve the hors d'oeuvres. These were surrounded by vintage details, lighting and floral arrangements. Their fun party was led by the one and only I-pod Rod and their wedding day was topped off with an absolutely perfect sunset; stormy days often end in the most dramatic fashion.
A special thanks goes out to Monica McGuire Photography for joining me as the second photographer for the day.
Take a lovely stroll through Nathan and Lauren's wedding day. It was an honor to be a part of their special day, capturing memories for them to treasure for years to come.
