Taran & Kaylyn
August 20, 2016, Gratiot County, Michigan
Taran & Kaylyn had a charming country wedding. The bride and bridesmaids started their day at Adore Hair & Nail Studio in Saginaw, while the groom and groomsmen got ready at his parents' home. Their wedding ceremony was held at Saint Mary's Church in Alma and the reception followed at the groom's parent's property. The reception details were so welcoming with their country charm and the stunning floral details were created by Flowers by Patty Macha.
The day wasn't entirely picture perfect in terms of the weather, but you'd never know it. The way they both beamed at each other, they made their own special kind of sunshine. The rain held off for our morning photographs, but the torrential downpour had begun by the time ceremony was over. We found some cover for the bridal party (not so much for the photographer, but it wasn't all bad thanks to my umbrella holder, a.k.a. my husband) and made the best of it. Later that evening the skies cleared and we were able to create some stunning images of the bride and groom. They had a beautiful day surrounded by their good friends and family followed by a fun party thanks to their DJ, I-Pod Rod.
It is always an honor to be asked to photograph someone's wedding day. Having had the pleasure of watching these two grow up (they both graduated with my son) made it all the more special.
